Marshalltown, Iowa — DMACC (10 wins – 0 losses) who are currently ranked #1 in the NJCAA National Poll proved too strong for County Upper, as they run away with a 75 – 37 victory.
DMACC were were led in scoring by Kannon Burrage and Scott Windom who had 18 and 17 points respectively. County Upper (3 wins – 10 losses) were led in scoring by Ryan Plaice (Sr., Kings Lynn, Norfolk ), who had 9 points on the night.
The game started with CU hanging tough early, trailing by only 9 points 19 – 10 midway through the first half; However DMACC ended the first half by outscoring County Upper 17 – 7 over the final 10 minutes to take a 19 point lead into half time.
DMACC extended its lead to 29 points 50 – 21 seven minutes into the second half, County Upper didn’t buckle under the pressure, dug their heals in and put together a 6 – 0 run of their own to cut DMACC’s lead to 23 points 50 – 27, but DMACC responded and finished the half on a 25 – 10 run, closing the game out winning by 38 points.
County Upper will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Iowa Central. Game time is set for 2p.m. in Fort Dodge , Iowa.
