Colchester, Essex—- with a 76-56 victory over The University of Essex on Monday afternoon, County Upper Academy team has improved their record to 2-2 for the season.
Both teams started the game exchanging baskets until midway through the fist quarter, when County Upper went on a 20-5 run to lead 29-12. With great defensive and offensive possessions from County the lead was increased to 45-15 going into halftime.
The early large lead proved to be important as The Uni. of Essex made a strong charge in the second half. With 2:30 to play in the 3rd quarter The University of Essex cut County’s lead to 18 points.
Despite cold shooting in the second half from both teams, County was able to hold onto their lead and walk away with their second win in a row.
County Upper will be back on the floor on Thursday, October 23rd when they play at home for the first time this season against Paston College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:30pm.
