County Upper Basketball Academy is running an Elite Basketball Camp aimed at elite level players (Regional/ England ) run by coach Johnson.
Coach Johnson has four years coaching experience at the NCAA D1 & D2 level, two years coaching experience at the Euroleague, BBL and NEBL level and has also been a basketball player within the US College system. Last season, Coach Johnson helped develop and place three County Upper Basketball Academy players in the USA, as well as helping place two England players at one of the best prep schools in the USA and at a very good NCAA Division 3 school.
This is not a typical school holiday camp. This is a camp aimed at players from all over the country who are seriously interested in making it to Europe, the USA or the BBL in the UK and who are considering a high class UK based basketball academy that provides the best opportunities for knowledgeable placement in the US, Europe and UK.
The Two Day Camp Will Include The Following:
- Overnight stay and food in typical residential accommodation organised by the Academy.
- Individual development (offence and defence).
- Small group workouts to better players understanding of offensive and defensive scenarios, including offensive moves.
- Team defence & offense.
- Human Performance Centre will conduct brief overview seminars in the following: Nutrition, fitness testing, strength & conditioning, physio support and body screening.
- An in-depth Video & information session regarding taking basketball to the next level i.e USA/Europe/UK.
The Video and Information session will highlight:
- Level of ability needed
- How to be successful in the UK, USA or Europe
- What are coaches looking for in players when recruiting
- Process needed to get to the USA, Europe or UK
- Wrap Up – Debrief to Players/Parents with details of next steps.
Limited Places: ONLY 15 places Available.
Camp fee: £50 which includes coaching, food and accommodation. This is a non profit camp – fees merely cover the expenses.
