Culford, Suffolk —Playing in their first game without five team members, the County Upper Academy fell to the Bury Bulldogs men’s team 62 – 57. The game which was played at Culford School gave County Upper a 0 – 2 start to the season.

 

After going into halftime down by 15, the bulldogs opened up the second half by increasing their lead to 19, which was their largest lead of the games.

 

After the Bulldogs built its lead to 19, they were able to maintain a large lead until midway through the second half, when Jack Mcmahon knocked down a three-pointer to start County Upper’s fight back. In a span of 5 minutes, Jack Mcmahon knocked down 2 three-pointers and Jack Sheward added 2 of his own.

 

Although County Upper battled hard during the final stages of the game, the experienced Bulldogs stood their ground and were able to hold off County Upper’s comeback and won by 5 points.     

 

 

County Upper will look to get into the win column on Thursday, 2 against the Southend Scorpions men 1st team. Game time is scheduled for 8:00pm.
